Wittmer's 2010 running mate, Alex Healy was also awarded Up and Coming Canadian Road Racer of the Year. Both drivers were recognized and presented with the awards at the Canadian Motorsports Expo in Toronto. Nick and Alex were interviewed by various media and taped a radio interview to be broadcast on Race Time Radio.
Touringcar Gets New Brakes
John Bondar, President of the Castrol Touring Car Championship Presented By Toyo Tires announced earlier this week that Hawk Performance Brakes has come on board as a contingency sponsor for 2010. Competitors who finish the race in pre-selected positions will be rewarded with Hawk certificates towards the purchase of Hawk Performance Racing brake pads.
"We jumped at the opportunity to partner with the Canadian Touring Car Championship. The quality and size of the field is impressive and it will be a great way to showcase our brake pads in a very competitive environment. “Hawk Performance manufactures a wide range of brake pad products for the race, street and fleet markets," stated Jerry DeMarino. “Partnering with the Canadian Touring Car Championship is an effective means to regionally build brand and support our Canadian distributors.”
